Read, read, then read some more TAG

I have a music tag waiting in line, but there's a looot to work for it, so, meanwhile, I thought I'd do a little book tag. Hope you like it, 'cause it's marking the start of a new series on this blog, which is completely dedicated to books. :)

1. When you pause from reading, do you use a bookmark or do you fold a corner of the page?

I ALWAYS use a bookmark, a piece of paper, or something. I HATE the disrespect people show to books when they fold the corners, they write on them, or whatever. For me, books are sacred!

2. Did you receive a book lately? If yes, which one was it?
2. Ai primit in ultimul timp o carte? Daca da, care a fost aceasta?

Yes, I did. I can't really remember which one, because I don't enjoy the genre and I didn't read it, but I it was from Sandra Brown.

3. Do you read in the bathroom?
3. Citesti in baie?

I only read in the bathroom once, while trying to take a long, relaxing bath. Didn't work out well, 'cause I was really paranoid about ruining the book, so I never did that again.

4. Did you ever thing about writing a book? If yes, what about?

Well, here's a delicate topic for me. :D I wrote half a book when I was about ten, got angry 'cause my father wanted to get it published, and deleted it. It was a pirate book, inspired by the original, italian, Pirates of the Caribbean series. Yes, yes, "inspired by" does indeed mean that the main character was very much like Ferrante, the character played by the extremely handsome Nicholas Rogers. :D I'm also currently working on a project that I won't speak about just yet. :)

5. What's your favorite book?
5. Care este cartea ta preferata?

The Fire Within (Le Feu Follet) by Pierre Drieu la Rochelle.
Focuri vii (Le Feu Follet) de Pierre Drieu la Rochelle.

6. Do you like reading some books more than once?
6. Iti place sa recitesti unele carti?

Yes, I do like reading books more than once. My record so far is reading a book 5 times, and I'm going to read it again for the sixth time once I get the rest of the series (The Wardstone Chronicles by Joseph Delaney).

7. What do you think about meeting the writers of the books you appreciate and what would you tell them?

It would be fantastic. I'd probably ask them about the sources they have for their inspiration, amongst other things.
Ar fi fantastic. Probabil i'as intreba despre sursele pe care le au pentru inspiratia lor, printre alte lucruri.

8. Do you like speaking about what you read? To whom?

Yes, I love too talk about books, to my friends of course. Or to anyone who reads good books, as a matter of fact. I've also been recommended some very good books, so I find these discussions quite useful, not to mention pleasant.

9. What are the things that determine you to choose a certain book?

Well... The title too, of course, but mostly the short description or review that you usually find on the back cover of the book.

10. What do you think is a "mandatory reading", a book that everyone must read?

Any good grammar book. :)) Other than that, I hate the idea that there is a book that everyone MUST read. I strongly believe that people should read whatever they like, as long as they read something.

11. What's your favorite place for reading?
11. Care este locul tau preferat pentru lectura?

My cozy bed, obviously. Add a cup of cherry tea to that, and you've sent me to heaven.
Patul meu confortabil, desigur.

12. When you read, do you listen to music or do you prefer silence?
12. Cand citesti, asculti muzica sau preferi linistea?

It's not just that I prefer silence, I NEED it. I have a rather serious case of A.D.D., so I'm having trouble focusing on something if there's any distraction around. Anyway, it has never stopped me from reading.

13. Did you read e-books?
13. Ai citit carti in format electronic?

Nope. And I never will. First of all, it's an insult to books, and second of all, I don't want to ruin my eyesight worse than it already is. I will, forever, read traditional books. Plus, there's nothing like turning the pages of a good book.
Nope.

14. Do you only read the books you buy or borrowed ones too?
14. Citesti numai carti cumparate sau si carti imprumutate?

I don't borrow books. I feel the need to know that I will forever have every book I read, as it becomes a part of me and who I am.

15. Do a top 5 of the best books/series you've ever read.

Focuri vii (The Fire Within), Pierre Drieu la Rochelle
♥ Cronicile Wardstone (The Wardstone Chronicles), Joseph Delaney
Torturati-l pe artist! (Torture the artist), Joey Goebel
Atherton, Patrick Carman
Bartimaeus, Jonathan Stroud
You'll probably notice that I'm a fool for supernatural fiction. Don't judge, you'll see in my reviews why I like this kind of books so much and I promise that you'll love them too if you get to read even one. They're quite very relaxing and, if you're not taking everything literally, you'll see that you can get to learn quite a few things from them.
